How else do you explain what it is like to be in the right place at the right time? Not just seeing an amazing wild animal in its own environment, but experiencing a moment where they exhibit behavior we can only wildly guess the significance of.
Today we were presented with numerous such gifts: sea lions dancing in the water, zebra moray eels dueling, humpbacks breaching. Sea Lion guests enjoyed snorkeling amongst a California sea lion ballet, while our Undersea Specialist captured unique moray eel interactions down deeper. Later from our ship we watched in awe as an acrobatic adult humpback whale breached over eighty times in succession!
We may forever be taunted by not knowing the exact meaning of such acts but we will never forget the beauty of them.
