Today was a day to remember for everyone at one of the most pristine areas of Costa Rica, the Osa Peninsula, it was described by National Geographic as amongst the most bio-diverse places in the world.

In the morning we had the chance to choose from great activities - part of our guests enjoy a horseback ride to a natural swimming hole in the middle of the rain forest while those looking for a bit more exercise took a more strenuous hike of 2.5 miles with some hills. Other guests looking for a more relaxing experience chose a 1.5 mile level walk along the beach and the rain forest.

The wonderful morning was ended by a picnic prepared by our hotel personal. It was a nice day to have some fresh air and great food with friends under the canopy of the rain forest.

A repositioning of National Geographic Sea Lion took us to our afternoon destination: the Corcovado National Park. Guests had several hiking options available: choices such as seeing waterfalls, power hikes and flat walks. Each one full of wildlife and fauna to discover and enjoy.  Troops of howler monkeys and spider monkeys decorated the trees as they passed by us. One of the great sightings was a Baird’s tapir resting aside the trail aloof to our presence.

The Osa Peninsula is without a doubt a great paradise!
