Today, weather conditions seemed not to help us much for our early round of whale watching at Los Títeres. Heavy fog covered the lagoon south from the town of Puerto Adolfo López Mateos off the Magdalena Bay Complex, permitting only a few yards of visibility.
We went out in our fleet of Zodiacs, with the company of the local pangueros who live in the town of Puerto Adolfo López Mateos. We cruised some miles among the fog with our Zodiacs aligned along the channel, trying to hear or see the whales, and we did it! A mother and a playful calf, came to our encounter and allowed us to had close views of these gray whales that congregates in these lagoon during the winter, one of their three breeding grounds in Mexico.
As other activity for the morning, our Wellness Therapist Allison Dickey offered her morning stretch class on the beach, enjoying both, the tranquility of the environment and the calm of a very deep breath.
In the afternoon, we came back again into the lagoon for more close encounters with these gray whales of Magdalena Bay.
