Since daybreak we’ve had many sightings, as we sailed the northern shore of Isabela Island. Many types of sea birds, sea lions, four humpback whales, and a majestic landscape greeted us as the sun rose behind the National Geographic Islander.
After breakfast we had a little ceremony as we crossed the equator and then anchored at Punta Vicente Roca where we had a Zodiac ride and snorkeled.
After lunch we landed at Punta Espinosa, Fernandina Island, where we spotted marine iguanas, flightless cormorants, sea lions and Pacific green turtles while we walked a pahoe-hoe lava field.
Back on board we had wine tasting and a nice dinner to end another marvelous day in paradise.
