Los Islotes, Isla Espiritu Santo

This day began with a beautiful sunrise and ended with a stunning sunset; full of adventure in between. We spent the early morning watching the amazing aerobatic maneuvers of Blue-footed boobies diving for their breakfast. After our breakfast, we explored the leeward shore of a group of rocky islets known as Los Islotes. These islets are a breeding colony and haulout site for California sea lions, with plenty of playful, curious youngsters in the bunch. This meant we had a chance to cruise among them by Zodiac and observe them at close range with mask and snorkel. It was an incredible morning for all.

After a delicious barbecue lunch on deck, we cruised southward to our afternoon anchorage at Punta Dispensa. Late afternoon walks on a white sand beach followed by a glorious sunset brought this voyage to a close.

Adios to the Sea of Cortez.
