Jose Aguirre

José Enrique (Kike) was born in Quito, Ecuador. He moved to Israel in 1998 where he volunteered on a kibbutz for almost a year. During his time there he worked across various plantations, which inspired him to study agricultural engineering at the Polytechnic University of Quito.

In 1999 he combined his studies with a job as a naturalist guide, and later on as an expedition leader for a variety of companies in the Galápagos. After graduating, Kike decided to continue to work as a naturalist guide on the islands.

He considers himself an enthusiastic person and very passionate about any outdoor activity. With 13 years of experience in the tourism industry as an interpreter of the natural sciences, Kike is always looking forward to exceeding traveler’s expectations!
