Graciella Cevallos

Graciela was born in the bustling port city of Guayaquil, the largest and most populous city in Ecuador. It was there that she pursued most of her studies with the exception of the two years of school when she went to New York to stay with her aunt. After this remarkable cultural experience, Graciela returned to Ecuador to finish high school.

Spurred by a love both for people and for her country, Graciela decided to study tourism administration at the State University of Guayaquil. While studying, she had the opportunity to travel extensively through Ecuador, during which time she discovered the fabled Galápagos Islands and fell in love with that magical place.

In 1992 she decided to specialize in the islands and took the Galápagos National Park training course to become a Galápagos naturalist. Since then, she has traveled the islands high and low, discovering new wonders every day. But her favorite moments on the islands come when she has the opportunity to teach visitors about the wonders of Galápagos. She cherishes the opportunity to work with Lindblad Expeditions and the remarkable people she meets through them.

On her time off, she has further indulges a love of travel by exploring the world, and traveling to countries throughout Europe and Asia. Graciela has since become fluent in German and English, as well as her native Spanish.
